A firmware for your thoughts? If not, do you need help building a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)? Embedism is a brilliant engineering consultancy start-up that can offer both these services at a fraction of the cost of their competitors. In other words, an entrepreneurship helping other entrepreneurs develop their curiosities and ideas. Furthermore, the business is looking to increase their product catalogue in the future to include some design and mechanical offerings.

During the interview, Nathan explores how his early curiosity in dismantling electronics at home, evolved into studying Electronics at A-levels and University. Consequently, he was able to build Embedism to this point by combining the technical implementation and organisation skills honed at university and leveraging the network.

Nathan particularly highlights the importance of leveraging your network and not simply for generic advice. An important thing one might dare to request from your network is honest feedback as this really helps when trying to create a clear business model.

Last but by no means least, the importance of mental wellbeing was explored. Especially as a sole trader or a lead in a partnership start-up because a lot of time and head space goes into taking care of clients and team wellbeing. It is very important to not forget to make space for emotional and mental self check-in.
